2M Alliance to adjust transatlantic string

Changes are being made to the alliance’s TA2/NEUTAL2 loop effective April 1.

   Mediterranean Shipping Company said the 2M network will add the Port of Wilmington, N.C. and a second weekly call to the Port of Savannah as part of changes to its transatlantic network.
   The changes are being made to a string MSC calls the NEUTAL2 and Maersk dubs the TA2, and will take effect April 1.
   The rotation of the service will then be New York, Bremerhaven, Felixstowe, Antwerp, Le Havre, New York, Baltimore, Norfolk, Wilmington, Savannah and New York.
   According to ocean carrier schedule and capacity database BlueWater Reporting, the loop currently deploys four vessels with an average capacity of 4,867 TEUs and a rotation of Bremerhaven, Felixstowe, Antwerp, Le Havre, New York, Baltimore, Norfolk, New York and Bremerhaven.
