3PL Team Worldwide opening Indianapolis branch

The location will be the first foreign trade zone warehouse facility in the Team Worldwide global network, and could serve as a regional or national distribution center, the company said in a statement.

Texas-based global freight forwarder and third-party logistics provider Team Worldwide is opening a branch office in Indianapolis, Ind. on Jan. 9, the company announced in late December.
Dubbed the “Team Indianapolis” location, the facility will be the first foreign trade zone (FTZ) warehouse in the Team Worldwide global network and could serve as a regional or national distribution center, according to the company.
Adding this location aids in the company’s quest to expand its network and improve its total service portfolio, Team Worldwide said. The new branch is expected to provide access to the Indiana Railroad/Canadian National Intermodal terminal, which provides direct access to the Canada’s West Coast ports of Vancouver and Prince Rupert, as well as the Port of Halifax on the East Coast and the U.S. gulf ports in Mobile, Ala. and New Orleans.
The branch’s new ownership group said it plans to target a handful of markets prominent in the region, including pharmaceutical and bioscience; automotive manufacturing and motorsports; and plastics and FTZ opportunities.
“We really look forward to being part of and contributing to the culture that Team Worldwide has provided for over 30 years. The new Indianapolis branch will offer a foreign trade zone solution to compliment a wide selection of air, ocean, FTL, LTL, and specialty ‘white glove’ services to the strong and growing Indianapolis distribution and logistics industry,” said Andrew Manville, who is a member of the company’s new three-person ownership group, along with Morris Soroky and Joe White.
