American Airlines Cargo will offer a new leasing program for the CSafe Global RKN, a temperature-controlled unit load device, effective Nov. 1, the airfreight carrier said.
The high-tech units can maintain a precise temperature of 4 degrees Celsius to 25 degrees Celsius (39.2 degrees Fahrenheit to 77 degrees Fahrenheit). In addition, the units feature a battery life of over 100 hours at 25 degrees Celsius, according to CSafe.
“Adding the leasing option for this temperature-controlled container gives American the ability to offer a simpler, enhanced experience to customers shipping time- and temperature-sensitive products,” AA Cargo said in a statement.
