AAEI conference to examine the ‘(R)Evolution’ of trade

The American Association of Exporters and Importers will hold its 95th annual conference in Arlington, Va. June 5-7.

   The American Association of Exporters and Importers will hold its 95th annual conference in Arlington, Va. June 5-7.
   The event will seek to explore what AAEI has dubbed the “(R)Evolution of Trade,” the idea that a confluence of global economic and political is changing the way companies in the United States conduct international trade and, as such, the future of trade may on the brink of a revolution.
   It will cover a wide range of U.S. and international trade topics, including panels on Trade as a Value Creator, a Legislative Update, a Spotlight on Exports, Duty Reduction Programs, Transfer Pricing and BEPS, CEEs, the Potential Compliance Risks of Mergers and Acquisitions, Roundtables with Government Officials, IT, Drawback, Public and Private Sector Perspectives on ACE, Enforcement and Regulatory Trends, Individual Liability in the Wake of Trek Leather, and TPP.
   In addition, U.S. Customs and Border Protection Commissioner R. Gil Kerlikowske will deliver a keynote luncheon speech.
