Global freight forwarder and third party logistics provider Absolute Worldwide Logistics has acquired Shipmymachinery.com, an online web portal specialized in equipment over-the-road transportation.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“This acquisition brings synergies to our truckload operations, and more importantly provides 100 percent of a looped quoting and fulfillment process for our current customers and prospective customers,” said John Hart, chief executive officer of Absolute Worldwide Logistics, in a statement.
Gergich said Shipmymachinery.com will be based out of Absolute’s Toledo, Ohio office and overseen by Bob Gergich.
“We plan on adding additional tools and features in the upcoming months to the Shipmymachinery.com website that will make this an even better interactive experience,” Hart said.
