Accellos jumps into cloud

Accellos, a provider of supply chain management software, will offer more of its software applications to customers via cloud-based technology.
The company said its cloud-based AccellosOne Warehouse Management System contains tools to better manage inbound order-processing, inventory, and outbound orders. Customers can also add other modules from the Accellos platform, such as third-party logistics service provider billing, document management, and other supply chain business intelligences.
The WMS tool is aimed at small and mid-sized businesses that are increasingly turning to cloud-based software and system deployments since they lack the infrastructure investment and in-house IT expertise, said Chad Collins, Accellos chief marketing officer.
For its new EDI (electronic-data-interchcange) and barcode data collection services, Accellos teamed with Data Resolutions, a Microsoft Gold Partner based in southern California.
The companies said since these functions can be integrated with existing sales and purchase order processing programs, customers are up to four-times faster than those with non-integrated EDI solutions. They also promised greater accuracy with orders and payments through the unified system.
AccellosOne Collect allows companies to automate manual warehouse processes, providing real-time inventory information and management. The service uses radio frequency mobiles to automate the warehouse workflow.
