Access Delta preps new warehouse system

At next month’s Logistics Link North 2012, Access Delta will launch the latest version of its warehouse performance system, adding in pick-and-pack, voice-handling, courier management and key performance indicator features.
The warehouse management system (WMS) will also have new software rules and picking options that it hopes will “unlock warehouse business process improvements that measurably impact supply chain performance.”
Access Delta, the brand formed after Delta Software was recently acquired by the U.K. business services provider Access Group, has a goal to integrate warehouse operations with businesswide services that monitor and optimize supply chain performance.
Access Group is planning to play a much bigger role in the future of the supply chain, and it will initially do so through acquisitions. It has recently purchased business intelligence specialist Prelytis, allowing it to offer WMS users a series of cloud KPI management and reporting tools.
These tools will expand Access Delta’s warehouse map, real-time inventory management, and the way data for these two systems is shared and analyzed throughout a company.
