Acsis has released the latest line of its Acsis ProducTrak, a set of data collection and task management software that can be integrated with ERP systems from SAP, Oracle, J.D. Edwards, and others.
Acsis aims the new software at bringing real-time connectivity to every point in the supply chain by supplying the infrastructure to manage data collection points to where they are gathered, namely the shop floor and warehouse.
Acsis said it targeted this area because it believes this type of on-site management is “the one thing that’s missing from the typical multi-million dollar ERP system.”
The company said its Acsis ProducTrak system tells what, when, and where a product was sent, removing paperwork and the potential for human error in some of that reporting. The product is tracked through its entire life in the supply chain ecosystem.
Acsis said its software can allow devices to connect in a variety of ways and has expanded this in-house data collection to access points like smart phones, tablets, and a company’s partner Websites.
