AFS wins cargo handling contract in Johannesburg

Turkish Airlines awarded a cargo handling contract in Johannesburg, South Africa to Africa Flight Services.

   Turkish Airlines has awarded a cargo handling contract in Johannesburg, South Africa to Africa Flight Services (AFS), part of Worldwide Flight Services’ (WFS) global airport services group.
   AFS expects to handle over 2,500 metric tons a year for Turkish Airlines in Johannesburg, WFS said.
   Turkish Airlines operates daily Airbus A330-300 flights between the city’s O.R. Tambo International Airport and Istanbul.
   AFS already provides cargo handling services for Turkish Airlines in Cape Town, South Africa.
   WFS is present at 188 major airports in over 22 countries, serving 50 million passengers and handling over four million metric tons of cargo per year for 300 airline customers.
