Agility expands ocean services in East China

Third party logistics services provider Agility has entered a partnership with Shanghai International Port Group Logistics (SIPGL) to expand its East China ocean freight services.
The agreement covers both less-than-containerloads and full-containers, as well as break-bulk cargo. SIPGL will provide depot management, vessel planning and loading, trucking, door-to-port and port-to-door, container freight station warehousing, brokerage, booking agency and port handling.
Agility said it’s the first foreign logistics services provider to be given access to all of SIPGL’s port operations and services. As the sole port operator in Shanghai and for all the Yangtze River ports, SIPGL gives Agility increased access to services covering the ports of Shanghai, Jiangsu, Hebei, Anhui and Chongqing.
“This partnership provides us with an improved platform from which we can better serve our customers in East China,” said Thomas Gronen, managing director for Agility East China, in a statement.
