Agility opens San Diego office
Kuwait-based logistics provider Agility has opened an office in San Diego, a few miles from the U.S.-Mexico border.
'Our intent is to service the San Diego county market and clients in northern Mexico, immediately south of the U.S. border to Ensenada,' said Paul J. Van Ness, branch manager of the new facility and the company's Los Angeles operation.
The new San Diego branch will have warehouse facilities, operational and sales staff, and will handle air, ocean and road freight forwarding and logistics and customs clearance, the company said.
The station is located at 1425 Corporate Center Dr., No. 100, San Diego, Calif. 92154. The telephone number is (619) 661-6456.
Agility, formerly known as PWC Logistics, has its U.S. headquarters in Santa Ana. The 3PL expanded rapidly through the acquisitions of GeoLogistics, project forwarder TransOceanic, and Trans-Link in Asia. More recently, the $4.5 billion company reached an agreement to buy Houston-based NVO Global Express Line, owned by WTS of Houston Inc., as well as Australian and New Zealand freight forwarders LEP International Pty Ltd. and LEP International (NZ) Ltd.
