Air France-KLM cargo network on Unisys’ freight portal
Air France’s cargo network is now available through Unisys Corp.’s electronic booking and shipment management service Cargo Portal Services (CPS).
In late 2005, Air France merged with Dutch airline KLM, which was already active on CPS.
'This development builds on KLM Cargo’s success with CPS over the last four years,” said Michael Wisbrun, president of Air France Cargo-KLM Cargo. “As a merged company, we are committed to offering clients the most suitable electronic tools to do business with us, so it was natural to extend CPS coverage for all clients through our combined network.'
CPS now serves the global cargo networks of American Airlines, Air Canada, Air France-KLM, Austrian Airlines, Continental Airlines, Northwest Airlines, Scandinavian Airlines and United Airlines.
Access to CPS is free for forwarders, both through the Internet (www.CargoPortalServices.com) and through secure system-to-system connections. More than 7,500 branch offices of 2,500 forwarder companies in 107 countries are online with CPS.
