Air France starts Detroit/Paris flights
Air France Monday started daily non-stop flights from Detroit to Paris.
The new service uses A330-200 aircraft and the first departure was made Monday from Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport at 7:15 p.m., arriving at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport at 8:50 a.m. the following day. Return flights depart at 10:30 a.m. and arrive in Detroit at 1:05 p.m. the same day.
The Detroit/Paris service is Air France’s first ever from Detroit, making the Michigan city its 13th U.S. gateway. “Detroit was a logical next step in our U.S. expansion as home to many industry leaders in the automotive, pharmaceutical, plastics and chemical industries, among others,” said Marie-Joseph Mal', Air France vice president and general manager, U.S.A.
