AIRBORNE POSTS RECORD PROFIT

AIRBORNE POSTS RECORD PROFIT
     Airborne Freight, which operates under the trade name Airborne
Express, posted record fourth-quarter net profit of $38.3 million, up from $30.8 million a
year earlier.
     Revenue rose to $791.1 million from $755.5 million. U.S. domestic
revenue rose 7 percent to $698.8 million while international revenue fell 8.9 percent to
$92.3 million.
