Denis V. Ilin is stepping down from his position as executive president of the airfreight carrier after three years, in accordance with mutual agreements, parent company Volga-Dnepr Group said in a statement yesterday.
Denis V. Ilin, executive president of the AirBridgeCargo Airlines LLC (ABC), is resigning his post in accordance with mutual agreements, parent company Volga-Dnepr Group said in a statement yesterday.
Ilin served as executive president of the Moscow, Russia-based airfreight carrier for three years following stints as director of operations and general director of the airline.
The company credited Ilin with significant contributions to the airline’s operational results and overall FTK figures, as well as opening new ABC stations in North America and Southeast Asia.
In addition, Ilin helped to establish the long-term relationships with key customers and strategic partners like Boeing and General Electric, which last month resulted in the signing of an agreement for the delivery of 20 В747-8F cargo aircraft.
Volga-Dnepr did not specify terms of the agreements or Ilin’s reasoning for leaving the company.
Thanks in part to the rapid expansion of its international network, AirBridgeCargo has been posting strong growth in cargo volumes over the past few years, most recently reporting a 31 percent surge in May tonnage compared with the same 2015 period.
