AIT Worldwide Logistics has opened a new facility in Houston, strengthening the company’s presence in the oil and energy industry.
The office is headed by Mike Wilson, a 25-year transportation industry veteran with experience in Mexico and Central America.
“With the widening of the Panama Canal nearing completion, the Port of Houston is ramping up to handle a much larger volume of containers debarking for local and interstate destinations,” Wilson said. “Many products going to or from San Antonio, Austin, Corpus Christi and Laredo flow through Houston, plus we have ease of access to the nearby Altamira and Tampico ocean ports on Mexico’s east coast.”
AIT-Houston is an 18,500-square-foot facility located across from George Bush Intercontinental Airport.
