ALASKA AIR GROUP EARNINGS JUMP 54 PERCENT

   Alaska Air Group, the parent company of Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air,
reported net income of $20.2 million in the first quarter, a 54-percent
increase over last year.
   Alaska Airlines’ revenue grew 8.1 percent to $371.9 million, while
revenue at Horizon Air increased 23.8 percent to $93 million.
   Group cargo revenue fell 1.4 percent to $20.7 million.
