ALLIED HOLDINGS NAMES LAUER SENIOR VP OF E-BUSINESS
Allied Holdings Inc. has named Doug Lauer to the newly created position of senior vice president of e-business.
Lauer was president of Allied's Link Information Systems Inc. subsidiary. He will retain the title of chief information officer of Allied Holdings. He joined Allied in 1996 after serving with Exel Logistics, PriceWaterhouseCoopers and Cass Logistics.
John W. “West” Berry has been named senior vice president of Link Information Services, assuming responsibility for day-to-day operations of the subsidiary. Line manages computer systems that provide real-time information for Allied Holdings and its subsidiaries.
Berry joined Allied in 1998 and has 25 years of information technology experience with SITA and Delta Airlines.
Allied Holdings is the parent company of several subsidiaries that provide logistics, distribution and transportation services to the automobile industry.
