The e-commerce giant will occupy two buildings outside of St. Louis, one for sortation and the other as a delivery station, according to local news source KMOV.com.

E-commerce giant Amazon has signed a lease for two warehouse buildings in Missouri, the first in the state, according to local news source KMOV.com.
One building will be used as a sortation center while the second will be used as a delivery station.
“I’m proud to welcome Amazon to our state, their new sortation center and delivery station will create jobs for hard-working Missourians,” said Missouri Governor Eric Greitens.
The buildings are located in the Hazelwood logistics Center in the city of Hazelwood, outside of St. Louis. The e-commerce giant will hire 34 full-time employees plus 350 part-time employees, according to KMOV.com.
Amazon has been making moves in recent months, most notably with the planned acquisition of Whole Foods Market. Amazon has also been expanding its warehousing facilities and workforce around the world, with new distribution and fulfillment centers in upstate New York and California and 5,000 new jobs in the United Kingdom.
