AMERICAN AIRLINES BOOSTS FUEL SURCHARGE

American Airlines said it will raise its fuel surcharge on all U.S.-origin international shipments by 5 cents per kilogram.

The increase raises the surcharge on all U.S. international shipments to 15 cents per kilo.

“This limited adjustment will allow the company to maintain current service levels in the face of continued, rising fuel costs worldwide.    We will continue to monitor the fuel price situation, and will make adjustments to this surcharge as needed,” said Mark Najarian, vice president of AA Cargo Sales and Marketing.
