American, post-US Airways merger, shifts to single air waybill Oct. 20

The move follows the company’s on-going work to merge US Airways’ former cargo operations into its own. The airlines initiated their integration nine months ago.

Jim W. Butler, cargo president, said “all American and US Airways booking channels will still be available,” including the customer service centers and website, aacargo.com. The new booking designation with American after Oct. 20 will be “001.”
