Ann Taylor may expand in Louisville
Ann Taylor Stores is considering a $15 million expansion of a warehouse facility at Jefferson Riverport International businesspark in Louisville, Ky.
Business First of Louisville and the Louisville Courier Journal said the company is considering doing internet distribution at the facility rather than relying on an outside contractor based in Chicago.
The plans, which were revealed this week at a meeting of the Kentucky Economic
Development Finance Authority, could involve adding 182,000 square feet to a 256,000-square-foot warehouse and an additional 72 people.
In January, Ann Taylor announced a major reorganization including the closure of 117 of 921 stores over the 2008-2010 period.
