ANSETT TO SELL EXPRESS BUSINESS TO TNT

Ansett Australia has agreed to sell its express freight business to TNT
Australia, a subsidiary of Netherlands-based TNT Post Group NV.
Ansett is owned 50-50 by News Corp. Ltd. and Air New Zealand.
News Corp. is selling its stake in Ansett to Singapore Airlines under a
deal announced last month.
TNT said it would continue to run the door-to-door business as a
separate unit keeping its management and all 800 employees, and would be
able to use the Ansett Air Freight brand name for two years.
