Antillean Marine now serving Panama
Antillean Marine, the Miami River-based carrier that traditionally specializes in the Dominican Republic and Haiti trades, is now offering service to Panama as well.
Antillean this month started service between Miami and Manzanillo International Terminal, adjacent to Colon on the Caribbean end of the Panama Canal. In Panama, Antillean's agent is Boyd Steamship Corp., which has been in operation since 1919 and which has its own bonded warehouse in the Colon Free Zone.
The weekly service handles 20-, 40- and 45-foot dry containers, plus specialized equipment such as high-cube, open-top, flat racks and garment-on-hanger containers.
