ARC promotes Eric Ebeling to CEO

U.S.-flag vessel operator American Roll-On Roll-Off Carrier (ARC) has appointed Eric P. Ebeling to president and chief executive officer.

   U.S.-flag vessel operator American Roll-On Roll-Off Carrier (ARC) has appointed Eric P. Ebeling to president and chief executive officer.
   He succeeds his father, Raymond P. Ebeling, who held the role of chairman and CEO of ARC since 1990 and announced he will retire by the end of the year.
   Eric Ebeling has held several executive-level positions at ARC since joining the firm in 2003. He has served as president and chief operating officer since June 2012.
   Meanwhile, Raymond F. Fitzgerald has been appointed to ARC chariman. He was president of ARC from 2007 to 2011 and is now president of the Atlantic area for Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics.
   Ret. Air Force Gen. John W. Handy will continue to serve as vice chairman of ARC, a position he has held since 2006. Prior to his retirement from military service, Handy was commander of the U.S. Transportation Command.
   ARC is the largest U.S.-flag ro/ro carrier with seven vessels and third largest U.S.-flag carrier in international trade.
