ARIBA TAPS CLEARCROSS FOR LANDED COST
Ariba, the business-to-business e-commerce site developer, has aligned with ClearCross, formerly Syntra, to provide users of its sites access to ClearCross's landed cost engine for calculating total transportation costs between countries.
Ariba said it chose ClearCross to provide online “buyers, suppliers and market makers with the fully delivered cost of items sourced from around the globe, prior to order commitment.” Ariba will offer the service seamlessly via its Commerce Services Network system.
Ariba recently signed a similar agreement with software developer Descartes Systems Group to provide logistics and fulfillment services on Ariba CSN. “The addition of the ClearCross Network continues to extend the global capabilities of the Ariba platform to accelerate and streamline global B2B e-commerce for its users,” the company said.
