The U.S. Commerce Department’s Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) advised exporters on Wednesday that they should expect delays with their export counseling desk queries by telephone and email through Friday, July 22.
“The potential delay will result from the relocation of many of the export counselors (and all of their equipment) from temporary quarters back to permanent office space,” BIS said in email.
BIS encourages exporters to continue to leave messages with the export counseling desk staff and expects to be back in full operation by the end of the workday Friday.
The agency added it “will respond to all messages received as quickly as possible.”
