KLG Europe selected BluJay Solutions for end-to-end transportation management and customer visibility services.
Global logistics services provider KLG Europe has selected BluJay Solutions for end-to-end transportation management and customer visibility services.
Under the terms of the contract, BluJay said it will deploy its transportation management for forwarders and control tower solutions across KLG’s international transport operations.
The solution will provide KLG with one centrally managed freight order management system with a holistic view across the regions, along with the ability to execute locally, with multi-lingual and multi-currency requirements supported, BluJay said.
The implementation will begin in Shanghai to support the freight forwarding operation, including BluJay’s control tower to enable collaboration with the partners and carriers involved, and to give KLG’s customers the necessary visibility on purchase orders and shipment status. The solutions will then be implemented in Rotterdam. To boost efficiency, export orders from China will be directly used to manage the imports and further distribution into Europe.
“The solution will address the issues associated with routing of shipment over multiple depots with multiple modes of transport, whilst providing the benefits of accelerated delivery, cost minimization and maintaining control of goods,” BluJay Sales Director Frank Sijpheer said.
BluJay was formerly known as Kewill. Earlier this month, Kewill rebranded itself as BluJay Solutions in the wake of its $115 million acquisition of LeanLogistics in 2016.
