BNSF POSTS INTERMODAL RATES ON THE INTERNET
The Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railway Company has posted ramp-to-ramp rates for intermodal service on more than 200 of its lanes on the Internet, at http://www.bnsf.railprices.com . The rates are for domestic and full truckload service only.
The company has eliminated minimum revenue commitments associated with these rates as well.
“Because we are eliminating minimums, shippers have the option to do business directly with BNSF, or use the information posted on this Web site as a resource in making informed decisions on how they spend their transportation dollars,” said Ed Zajac, assistant vice president, IMC and truckload marketing of BNSF.
BNSF, based in Fort Worth, Texas, is a subsidiary of Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corp.
