BNSF RESUMES INTERMODAL SERVICES FROM WEST COAST
The Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railway Co. has run its first eastbound intermodal trains from the West Coast of the United States since the ports reopened.
The first train left the port of Los Angeles on Thursday (Oct. 10).
Along with the Union Pacific, BNSF suspended its West Coast intermodal service because of the 11-day shutdown of U.S. Pacific ports.
On Thursday, BNSF expected to move a dozen more trains eastward from Pacific Coast ports after 6 p.m., including about half a dozen trains each from Pacific Northwest and California port origins.
