BOEING POSTS IMPROVED PROFIT
Boeing Co. reported net income of $469 million for the first quarter,
compared with $50 million a year earlier, when results were hurt by a
one-time charge of $219 million.
Including the one-time charge, Boeing still nearly doubled its net
income. Revenue increased 11.2 percent to $14.4 billion.
Boeing cited increased operating margins in all divisions and the
implementation of a recovery plan in the commercial aircraft division.
