Bourque Logistics expands to Jacksonville

The 24-year-old Texas-based company provides logistics and information technology services to rail shippers and short lines.

   Bourque Logistics, a provider of logistics and information technology services to rail shippers and short lines, has opened an office in Jacksonville, Fla., as part of its expansion into the East Coast market.
   “The Jacksonville area has a wealth of experienced rail talent whose expertise our clients require,” said Steve Bourque, the company’s president, in a statement. “The addition of this new office is key to leverage the local logistics skills.”
   The Woodlands, Texas-based company started out 24 years ago providing rail logistics services to Gulf Coast chemical shippers and now has more than 120 rail customers. It also operates an international tank and container management service with overseas offices in Bucharest and Singapore.
