Toll Global Forwarding has appointed Steve Buckerfield as its U.K. managing director.
Buckerfield has spent 28 years in the freight industry, working for Emery Worldwide, American Airlines, Walker Freight and most recently as senior vice president for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region at OHL.
In his new post at TGF, he will be in charge of more than 400 staff at 15 locations. The Hong Kong-based third party logistics services provider’s U.K. operation is the largest in its EMEA region and, in addition to handling general freight, includes specialist divisions catering for defense, oil and gas, hanging garments and perishables.
