Bugbee to be CMA’s “Commodore” next year

   Robert Bugbee, president of Scorpio Tankers, has been named as the Connecticut Maritime Association (CMA) Commodore for the year 2014.
   The 2014 Commodore Award will be presented to Bugbee on March 19, 2014, at the dinner marking the conclusion of the annual CMA conference and trade exposition at the Hilton Hotel in Stamford, Conn.
   The award is given each year to a person in the international maritime industry who has contributed to the growth and development of the industry.
   Scorpio Tankers is a provider of marine transportation of petroleum products worldwide. The company currently owns 19 tankers, time charters 29 product tankers, and has contracted for 54 new vessels. Forty-four of those newbuilds are expected to be delivered to Scorpio in 2014 and 10 in 2015.
