BusinessHere.com, a business-to-business e-commerce firm, has launched
ShipHere.com, an Internet freight shipping service for less-than-truckload,
truckload, air, ocean and rail freight.
Developed in partnership with Click Logistics, a division of Cardinal
Logistics Inc., ShipHere.com is aimed at small and mid-sized companies.
Customers access the web site, fill out a brief form that captures basic
information about the company, products, origin points and destinations.
Once a quote is submitted, a price is returned within 15 seconds. Customers
can convert the quote to an order, save it for future reference or discard
it.
Frequent users will be eligible for additional savings on shipments. An
"address book" feature will also memorize shipment information to save time
and minimize data entry.
