CEO says the company “is committed to providing our employees with a long-term career path they can count on financially.”
C.R. England is touting its “second multimillion dollar driver pay increase in the last eight months.”
The pay increase will benefit solos, teams and trainers in C.R. England’s national, regional and training divisions and takes effect Thursday.
“Including today’s pay increase, C.R. England has invested an annualized amount of over $30 million in driver pay increases in the last eight months,” said Chief Executive Officer Chad England. “This increase comes just eight months after over-the-road drivers received the largest driver compensation increase in the 99-year history of the company.
“Raising pay is an indicator C.R. England is committed to providing our employees with a long-term career path they can count on financially,” England said.
The company said every line-haul national and regional driver, including solos, teams and trainers, received a pay increase.
“In addition to these increases, the company continues to evaluate and adjust pay for its already highly paid drivers in the dedicated and intermodal divisions,” the announcement said.
In 2018, the company added 755 dedicated driving jobs. Almost 2,000 C.R. England drivers get home daily or almost every day, according to the company.
