The Salt Lake City-based company says the increase, the largest in its history, will impact about 60 percent of its drivers.
C.R. England has announced the largest driver pay increase in the Salt Lake City-based company’s 98-year history.
The pay hike for drivers in the over-the-road division will impact about 60 percent of C.R. England’s driver force. The increase goes into effect Thursday.
“In an ever-changing and increasingly competitive marketplace, this multimillion dollar investment in our drivers better positions us to attract not only those who come to us for training and are new to the industry, but seasoned and experienced drivers who want a proven career path,” said CEO Chad England. “Great companies seek to continuously improve, and this is another step in that direction for us and our drivers.”
Both C.R. England drivers and office employees are part of the company’s commitment to help feed 1 million children each year through partnerships with local food banks nationwide. Every delivered load provides funding to feed a hungry child through the One Initiative. Through May, nearly 500,000 meals have been provided to food banks.
