CARGO REVENUE FALLS AT BA
British Airways said cargo revenue fell 4.4 percent to 560 million
British pounds ($906 million) in its fiscal year ending March 31.
The decrease in revenue came despite an increase of 4.5 percent in cargo
flown to 855,000 tons.
BA said currency exchange rate losses and a decrease in freight capacity
flown by the airline led to the fall in revenue. Air freight rates were
depressed, leading to a decline in yields.
