Cargolux starting Almaty, Kazakhstan flights
Europe’s largest all-cargo airline, Cargolux, will start weekly services to Almaty in Kazakhstan from the end of August, carrying mainly general cargo, engineering infrastructure equipment, high-tech items, cars, perishables and foodstuffs on board its Boeing 747-400 freighters.
On the return flight from Asia, the cargo will mainly comprise products such as information technology-related components, telecommunications and audio equipment, machinery and textiles, the Luxembourg-based carrier said.
Cargolux will make the first flight to its latest addition to its network on Aug. 30, departing Luxembourg at 6 a.m., with arrival in Almaty at 6:55 p.m. local time. From Almaty, the flight will depart for Hong Kong at 8:25 p.m. where it will arrive at 4:25 a.m. on Friday morning. Departure from Hong Kong is at 6:25 a.m., returning to Almaty at 10:45 a.m., departing two hours later for Budapest and Luxembourg. Arrival time in Budapest is 2:20 p.m. and 7:40 p.m. in Luxembourg.
