CaroTrans offers new LCL service

The non-vessel operating common carrier and ocean freight consolidator launched a new less-than-container-load import service from Nhava Sheva, India to Charleston, S.C.

   CaroTrans launched a new, direct less-than-container-load (LCL) import service from Nhava Sheva, India to Charleston, S.C. in mid-August.
   The weekly all-water service, which is designed for expedited delivery to the United States South Atlantic and Gulf regions, provides a 25 day transit and offers a Friday cut-off date.
   At origin, CaroTrans’ partner, logistics service provider Globelink WW India, provides consolidation and offers full India market penetration with over 15 inland container depots. Other CaroTrans-Globelink WW direct India import services are offered from Chennai to Los Angeles and New York, and from Nhava Sheva to Los Angeles and New York.
   “We continue to add new, direct ocean services to our network to provide our customers with efficient and reliable transportation options that best suit their customers’ supply chain needs,” CaroTrans CEO Greg Howard said in a statement.
