CaroTrans, a non-vessel operating common carrier (NVOCC) and ocean freight consolidator, unveiled its first direct, weekly less-than-containerload (LCL) service between Poland and New York.
The new service is scheduled to launch Dec. 12 and will provide 22-day transits from Gdynia to New York, CaroTrans said.
CaroTrans is teaming up with Euroconsol in Poland to provide this direct connection for imports into the United States. Euroconsol is a neutral global NVO that provides comprehensive local market coverage from six container freight stations in Poland, which are located in Warsaw, Krakow, Katowice, Poznan, Gdynia and Wroclaw.
Both companies offer complete information technology solutions, including freight tracking and online booking.
“Weekly sailings to New York are just the first step in our relationship,” Euroconsol President and Managing Director Maciej Mazurkiewicz said. “Future plans involve similar service offerings to Chicago and Atlanta.”
CaroTrans’ European service portfolio currently consists of 42 import services to eight U.S. gateways, and 45 U.S. export services to 12 countries in Europe.
