Carriers adjust China/Korea-Southeast Asia PCI service

Ocean carriers Yang Ming and CK Line began purchasing slots on the intra-Asia loop, which also added calls at Shekou and Surabaya and dropped a call at Singapore.

Ocean carriers Yang Ming and CK Line have joined the joint intra-Asia PCI service, operated by SITC Shipping, Sinokor and Heung-A, as slot purchasers with the Sept. 23 sailing of the Larentia from Busan, according to the carriers’ online service schedules.
With this voyage, the PCI also amended its rotation, adding calls at Shekou and Surabaya and dropping a call at Singapore. The revised port rotation of the PCI is Busan, Gwangyang, Shanghai, Shekou, Jakarta, Surabaya, Ho Chi Minh (VICT/Cat Lai), Shanghai and Busan.
According to ocean carrier schedule and capacity database BlueWater Reporting, the loop operates with four vessels with an average capacity of 2,827 TEUs. Sinokor provides two of the vessels and SITC Shipping and Heung-A provide one vessel each.
Evergreen Line has also been a slot purchaser on the PCI since July.
In addition to these changes, the loop is currently scheduled to skip its Oct. 7 sailing from Busan.
