Three separate services each will withdraw a sailing in the coming weeks.
Hong Kong-based ocean carrier Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) announced blanked sailings on three separate services in the coming weeks.
OOCL said the WM3 will withdraw the sailing of the Tubul (westbound: ETA Khor Al Fakkan July 26, eastbound: ETA La Spezia Aug. 17). BlueWater Reporting shows OOCL is a slot purchaser on this service, which is jointly operated by Hapag-Lloyd, COSCO and CMA CGM. The service is referred to as the IMEX by Hapag-Lloyd, MINA by COSCO and MEDEX by CMA CGM. It deploys a total of seven vessels with an average capacity of 8,096 TEUs and has a rotation of Khor Fakkan, Dubai, Karachi, Mundra, Mumbai, Jeddah, Malta, La Spezia, Genoa, Barcelona, Valencia, Tanger, Marseilles-Fos, Genoa, Malta, Damietta, Jeddah and Khor Fakkan.
Meanwhile, OOCL said the EM2 will withdraw the sailing of the COSCO Thailand (westbound: ETA Qingdao Aug. 9, eastbound: ETA Ashdod Sept. 4). BlueWater Reporting shows that OOCL, as well as Evergreen Line and COSCO, provide vessels for the service, with Evergreen calling it the FEM and COSCO dubbing it the AEM5. The loop deploys nine vessels averaging 7,154 TEUs and has a rotation of Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Taipei, Yantian, Shekou, Singapore, Tanjung Pelepas, Ashdod, Haifa, Alexandria, Mersin, Piraeus, Jeddah, Tanjung Pelepas, Shekou, Kaohsiung and Qingdao.
OOCL also said the ATM1 will withdraw the sailing of the CMA CGM Coral (westbound: ETA Malta Aug. 14, eastbound: ETA New York Sept. 3). BlueWater Reporting shows the service is dedicated to the Mediterranean-East Coast North America trade, deploying six vessels averaging 4,607 TEUs and a rotation of Malta, Salerno, Leghorn, Genoa, Marseilles-Fos, Barcelona, Valencia, New York, Norfolk, Savannah, Miami, Algeciras and Malta. CMA CGM, which supplies all the vessels, refers to the loop as the AMERIGO. APL and COSCO are also on the service.
