Cathay kicks off Portland freighter stop

Cathay Pacific Airways started a twice-weekly scheduled freighter service today to Oregon’s Portland International Airport.

   Cathay Pacific Airways started a twice-weekly scheduled freighter service today to Oregon’s Portland International Airport.
   It will become the Hong Kong-based carrier’s 18th cargo station in the Americas.
   The flight rotation for the new service, which operates each Thursday and Saturday, includes Hong Kong, Anchorage, Los Angeles, Portland, Anchorage and Hong Kong.
   Cathay will operate the flight with a Boeing 747-8 freighter.
