U.S. Customs and Border Protection Office of Field Operations officers at the Tampa International Airport discovered the counterfeit rings in a shipment from China.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Office of Field Operations officers seized counterfeit NFL championship rings at the Tampa International Airport.
The rings arrived in a shipment from China and had a total estimated manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $300,000, CBP said.
On an average day, CBP typically screens more than 67,000 cargo containers. Overall, in 2015, a total of 28,865 seizures of counterfeit and pirated goods worth an estimated MSRP value of $1.3 billion were made throughout the nation.
