The third party logistics and supply chain services provider said the less-than-container-load service will have a transit time of 11 days.
CEVA Logistics has introduced a new guaranteed weekly less-than-container-load (LCL) service connecting Antwerp, Belgium with New York.
The new LCL service will sail directly from Antwerp to New York with a transit time of 11 days.
The third party logistics and supply chain services provider said in a statement customers will have access to door-to-door delivery services, CEVA’s integrated supply chain services at origin and destination, expedited delivery through CEVA’s ground trucking network, and end-to-end cargo tracking and visibility.
The company expects to add more direct weekly services from Antwerp in 2015, “establishing the location as a key hub within CEVA’s LCL and Ocean Freight network.”
“The opening of our LCL gateway in Antwerp provides CEVA with a greater opportunity to provide our customers with a wide range of destinations and LCL services,” said Ferwin Wieringa, CEVA’s vice president of freight and transport management in Benelux. “Strategically located in Europe and well connected with our Ground and Air Freight networks, it’s ideally placed as an operational hub.”
