The third-party logistics company will manage an 8,500-square-meter warehouse near Milan, Italy for Pellegrini, an Italian services supply company.
CEVA Logistics and Pellegrini have established a five-year contract in which the third-party logistics company will provide in-house warehouse management at Pellegrini’s Peschiera Borromeo facility near Milan, Italy, CEVA said.
Pellegrini is an Italian services supply company that specializes in catering, food supply, voucher, vending, cleaning and integrated services.
The 8,500-square-meter warehouse that CEVA will manage will store and handle fresh, frozen and non-food products. The third-party logistics company will manage approximately 2,500 product lines and will handle 300,000 pallets per year.
“We have chosen to rely on CEVA for our hub management because we believe we will gain real efficiency improvements in our warehouse through the market-leading skills and experience CEVA has developed in our sector,” Pellegrini Director of Central Food division Fabio Broglia said in a statement. “This decision will allow us to accelerate our growth plans and we believe that CEVA is the right partner to support us. From our partnership, we expect concrete benefits in terms of flexibility, quality, service levels, punctuality and cost saving.”
