CEVA to continue partnerships with Ford, Vileda

CEVA Logistics said Wednesday that it will renew its business with Ford Motor Company, specifically at the Kentucky Truck Assembly Plant, and has also secured a contract renewal for Vileda, a cleaning solutions provider.
“Our role with Ford is to help drive cost effectiveness in its manufacturing processes,” said Jim Barnett, CEVA’s vice president of the automotive sector for the Americas. CEVA, which has served the Louisville plant for the past five years, will provide metering of inbound materials, small lot logistics, return container management and just-in-time transportation.
The factory opened in 1969, and has produced more than seven million vehicles. It manufactures the Ford F-250, F-350, F-450 and F-550 Super Duty pickup trucks; the Ford Expedition; and the Lincoln Navigator.
Additionally, CEVA will continue to provide Vileda with warehousing and transportation services, receipt and management of raw materials and products, re-packing services, and storage of spare parts in England.
CEVA stores about 5,300 pallets for Vileda in its warehouse facility in Corby, Northamptonshire.
Mirib Michael, supply chain manager for Vileda stated, “CEVA provides a well-managed and efficient converting, warehousing and transport solution.”
