CEVA to serve Carrefour Brazil
CEVA Logistics said it will manage a large grocery warehouse in Brazil for French retailer Carrefour. The facility is located in the northeastern city of Manaus.
Carrefour, which operates 400 stores in Brazil, said it sought the CEVA partnership to upgrade service and develop an alternative in-country logistics supplier.
The contract is CEVA’s first in the foodstuff sector in Brazil, but it said it expects more awards this year.
CEVA is the new logistics powerhouse formed last year by the acquisitions of TNT Logistics and global forwarder EGL.
