CF OPENS ANOTHER MEXICO TERMINAL
Consolidated Freightways said Tuesday that its south-of-the-border subsidiary, CF/Mexico, had opened its ninth terminal in Puebla, Mexico’s fourth largest city.
CF/Mexico experienced a four-fold increase in shipments in 1999 over 1998. Brian Hickert, CF/Mexico’s division manager, said the subsidiary will generate $250 million in revenues in 2000.
Puebla, 60 miles from Mexico City, is an export center for motor vehicles, textiles, meat and fruits. CF/Mexico also operates 13 terminals in the U.S. Southwest, along the border.
